Presentation of the Georgian version of Data Journalism Handbook
Georgian Institute of Public Affairs (GIPA) and the European Journalism Center invites you to the presentation of the Georgian-language online publication of the Data Journalism Handbook.
Presentation will be held 7 p.m. 11 November at the Tbilisi Mediatheque located in Vake Park.
At the presentation Josh Laporte, European Journalism Center Program Coordinator will tell guests about how the idea of developing the handbook was brought to life and implemented. Peter Verwey, Lecturer at Utrecht University School of Journalism will speak about the significance of idea for a story in data journalism: he will speak about ideas described in the handbook and which have been managed to be implemented by world’s leading media organizations.
The handbook was developed based on advises from journalists, professors, programmers and data analysts. Data Journalism Handbook will help readers to discover the potential, restrictions and purpose of the new and extraordinary sphere – digital information.
