Internews – Georgia to present summary of results of pre-election media-monitoring
"Internews Georgia" would like to invite you to the presentation of the final results of the project "Regional Media Monitoring - Georgia’s 2014 Local Elections”. The presentation will take place on Wednesday, June 25, 11:30 at the “Tbilisi Marriott Hotel" (13, Rustaveli Ave. Queen Tamar Room).
The monitoring was held within the framework of the International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES) project "Increased Trust in the Electoral Process" (ITEP), supported by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
Within the framework of the project the monitoring was carried out on evening news programs (19:00 - 24:00) and public-political programs aired on 16 regional TV broadcasters of Georgia. The monitoring was carried out from May 12 to June 15, 2014.
The goal of the monitoring was to identify the proceeding and key trends of pre-election campaign on 16 Regional TV Companies through monitoring the main news programs and public-political talk shows.
The monitoring covered following broadcasters: Channel 25 (Batumi), Rioni (Kutaisi), Kvemo Kartli TV Company (Rustavi), Odishi (Zugdidi), Tanamgzavri (Telavi), Channel 9 (Akhaltsikhe), Trialeti (Gori), Guria (Ozurgeti), Imervizia (Chiatura), Gurjaani (Gurjaani), Mega TV (Khoni) , 9th Wave (Poti), Marneuli TV (Marneuli), Argo (Zestaponi), Dia (Khashuri), Borjomi (Borjomi).
