International Festival Golden Eye Accepts Applications

International Festival of Cameramen Golden Eye will take place in 2011 in Batumi, Georgia. The aim of the festival is to aid the cameraman to show their works to the international jury who will evaluate it. Festival will welcome the leading technical equipment manufacturer brands. The seminars about modern technology will be held by representatives of technology manufacturing brands and invited guests during the festival. Master classes will be conducted by the cameramen of famous movies such as Avatar, Four Rooms and many more.

The Festival is the first product of the International Foundation for Innovative Technologies (IFIT). The goal of the Festival to be held in Georgia for the third time now has been to support the development of movie and TV cameramen, promote and stimulate their work, identify and encourage the best.

Professional TV and movie cameramen are eligible to participate in the Festival.

For the attention of the Festival participants:

  • Works for the competition can be submitted only by professional cameramen;
  • The works must be submitted to the Organizers of the Festival from September 1, 2011 till October 10, 2011;
  • For participants from abroad would be better to use express post (DHL.TNT.FedEx);
  • Works for the competition can be submitted by individuals as well as TV companies, studios, creative unions and groups
  • Each participant can only submit maximum 2 works for one nomination. Participation of the same participant for various nominations is not limited
  • Works for the competition will be submitted to the Organizers of the Festival in accordance with submitted work;
  • Competition works are acceptable in DVD format;
  • Results of the Festival will be summarized by the international jury;
  • Winners will be announced at the Closing Grand Ceremony of the Festival;
  • Winners will receive the Festival prize Golden Eye;
  • Winner of the Grand Prize will receive the special prize.

Leader companies in broadcasting equipment production as well as broadcasters from the South Caucasus region will be invited to the Festival. Guests will be invited from various countries of the world. They will participate in competitive as well as the educational part of the Festival and will create their vision on how to develop TV technologies in the South Caucasus region.

Thus far 37 participants from Georgia, Brazil, Sweden, Germany, Armenia, Ukraine, Belarus, Estonia, Israel, America and Croatia have already been registered.
