February 24 – Presentation Civil Monitoring to Improve Situation in TV Media Space to be Held
On February 24 at 14:00hrs the presentation Civil Monitoring to Improve Situation in TV Media Space is scheduled to be held.
Levan Mikeladze Foundation and the Georgian Yung Lawyers Association (GYLA) with the financial backing of the Open Society Georgia Foundation conducted the monitoring of the activities being carried out by the Georgian National Communications Commission (GNCC). In the scope of the monitoring the decision reached on TV broadcasters and individuals conducting transit broadcast have been studied.
The publication discusses the difficulties in regard to the development of media pluralism in the country as well as the issues related to current competition on TV media market and protection of consumers’ rights.
The presentation will be hosted by Tbilisi Marriott Hotel.
