GNCC to Discuss Draft Regulatory Resolution on Pre-Election Media Activities

On August 15 at 16:00 hrs the Georgian National Communications Commission (GNCC) will discuss a draft regulatory resolution on media activities during pre-election period.

The draft resolution Media Involvement in Electoral Process and Rule of its Application published by GNCC on its website on August 9 is based on para 15 of Article 51 of the Election Code of Georgia.

The draft is also based on the order issued by Lasha Tordia, General Auditor of the State Audit Agency over the regulation of some issues related to the transparency of funding the pre-election campaign which is based on the Georgian Law on Political Unions of Citizens.
