Up to 30 journalists have been dismissed from TV company Imedi, following the decision reached by the channel’s Director General Giorgi Lominadze.
The journalist have been notified over the discharge in the course of the meeting held today, November 2 at the TV premises.
According to the labor contracts, said the news program Kronika producer Irma Loria, the employer was authorized to dismiss employees any time, without providing any clarification.
“We have been discharged without any clarification,” says Loria.
By now Media.ge has been unable to obtain any information about the dismissed employees. Referring to primetimenews.ge the Kronika presenter Nodar Meladze is one of them.
No changes have taken place at radio Imedi. According to the radio journalist Misha Peikrishvili all of the employees are maintaining their positions.
